Origin of CPT

The establishment of Christian Professionals of Tanzania (CPT) had a long and challenging journey before reaching the strength it has today.

The origins of CPT date back to the Tanzania Young Catholic Students (TYCS) youth organization that was active in the late 1960s and 1970s. The idea of uniting Christian scholars and professionals arose from the need to respond to the social, political and religious challenges of the time.
